I received an email from my host family the other day.  I've deleted the names in the email (except for the dog) but otherwise I've pasted it below:

I've translated it to english:

"Dear Stephen,

Welcome to our home, we are anticipating that you will find yourself very comfortable becoming a part of the family.

We want to tell you that our family consists of Mama, Papa, children Sister--age 27, Brother--age 23, Brother-- age 30, our german shepherd Tom, and the fish.

The eldest brother lives in California, the other siblings study and work, Papa works outside of the house and Mama manages the house.

Though we would seem a very busy family, there is always time to talk and share experiences.

Your room is ample, well-lighted, and with a view of the plaza.

Welcome to our family, we send our affection.

And have a good trip!!!"
